Canola oil is very beneficial for the skin

Dermatologist Dr. Kung says, “It has been scientifically proven to help retain skin moisture by reducing transepidermal water loss. In addition, canola oil has a 2:1 ratio of oleic acid to linoleic acid, which almost matches the natural ratio of healthy skin.

In addition, rapeseed oil is rich in proteins, phenolic compounds, lipids and vitamin E, which are effective in anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-wrinkle. Dermatologist Dr. Lo Zarfo says, “This oil is very beneficial for the skin as it is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins K, C, E and antioxidants.

Benefits of canola oil

1. Canola oil moisturizes the skin and helps increase its strength.

2. Vitamins ‘E’ and ‘K’ help reduce acne and aging problems (such as lines and wrinkles).

3. Vitamin ‘C’ in canola oil helps reduce hyperpigmentation and blemishes on the skin and increases skin radiance.

4. Vitamin ‘E’ can also protect the skin from free radical damage, which helps keep the skin healthy, radiant, and youthful.

Side Effects

Both dermatologists agree that people with acne-prone skin should be cautious when using products containing canola oil. Dr. Lo Zarfo says, “Canola oil has a comedogenic rating of 4.” This rating is a measure of how much an oil can clog pores. While canola oil does contain some skin-friendly ingredients, it can also clog pores, which can worsen acne. So, it’s best for acne-prone people to avoid it.
