During the three hundred years of the Muslim empire in India, Hindus have made kinship with Muslim rulers by marrying their daughters. But in return, there is no history of any Muslim emperor marrying their daughter to a Hindu king and making a political treaty. Even though Mansingh gave his sister to Akbar, no one from the Mughal harem came to Mansingh's house.

King Ganesh converted his son to Islam to retain the throne and changed his name. No Muslim became a Hindu through political conversion. There is a character called 'Vibhishan' in Hindu mythology, keep in mind.

This is also true. There were Rajputs like Rana Pratap who lived on grass bread and lived in the jungle but did not accept the Mughals' submission.

There is not a single historian in the history of the world who has praised the pre-Muslim rule as a legacy of the Muslim empire. In this case, Indian Hindus are exceptional. They are the hymn writers of the three hundred years of Muslim empire in India!

The ‘Yogen Mandal Syndrome’ among Hindus is a historical fact. I see countless Yogen Mandals in my friend list. Like Meghmalla Basu, the Left has existed in all eras. After discovering the hand of Delhi behind every Hindu oppression and attack on worship in this country, how many comrades have finally come out of Bangladesh after being pushed around by the crowd and taken citizenship in India and marched out in Kolkata with Inquilab Zindabad. When someone asks them, ‘Why did Dada come from the other side then’, they are told, ‘Don’t come and listen to the propaganda of those Hindutvaists’!

Pinaki or Shubhajit Bhowmik may be working to become the trusted confidant of anti-India Muslim Bengal like the majority of Hindus in Bangladesh. What does ‘trusted’ mean? The historical relationship that Hindus have with West Bengal even after the partition, the cultural unity that they have, they deny and trust in the 'Azadi' and 'Inquilab' of Muslim Bengal. Their advantage is that since they are abroad, they do not have to run to India to save their lives and tell anyone that our existence as Hindus in Bangladesh is in danger. Many parts of our lives depend on the protection of Muslims. As a result, they are less likely to become Yogan Mandals. Even if Jamaat comes to power and imposes Sharia law, they will not have any difficulty in saying - this is Delhi's prepared prescription. Modi-Hasina's conspiracy to turn Bangladesh into Afghanistan.

Is Delhi planning massive vandalism through RAW in the upcoming Durga Puja in Bangladesh? Hasina-Modi did this. No reference is needed for these writings of Shubhajit Bhowmik. The majority likes these writings. No one will ask for references. Even if Hindus are beaten, they will consider it a conspiracy by India. Everyone always wants a 'good Hindu' like this.

The country has become independent, so now let's see if 'Gada Iqbal' was an agent? Will the independent country take action now to find out whether Maulana Abu Taha, who posted a post two days ago on the pretext of the hadith of breaking idols, is an agent of R? Will anyone investigate whether Mufti Abdur Razzak bin Yusuf is an agent? Will the independent country prove whether Jasimuddin Rahmania's book 'Unmakt Tarbari' was written by any agent of R?

The difference between Pakistan and Bangladesh is that the liberals there blame their own government and communalism for the attacks on Hindu Sikhs in Pakistan, without finding the hands of India. As a result, even if Pakistan can come to the right line one day, Bangladesh may not be able to.

Tuna and egg rice balls

 

Ingredients:

Salad oil, appropriate amount

[A] 1 can of tuna in oil (drained)

[A] 1 beaten egg

[A] 1 teaspoon soy sauce

2 bowls of rice

20g spring onion (finely chopped)

How to make:

1. Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add (A) and stir fry.

② Put rice, ①, and green onions in a bowl, mix together, form into your desired shape, 

and it's done!

Cabbage and tuna coleslaw salad

 

Ingredients:

200g cabbage

[A] 1 bag of boiled tuna (drained)

[A] 1 tablespoon mayonnaise

[A] 1 teaspoon lemon juice

[A] 1/2 teaspoon sugar

A] Pinch of salt

[A] Black pepper, to taste

How to make:

① Shred the cabbage and place in a heat-resistant bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and heat in a 600W microwave for 2 minutes. Allow to cool and squeeze out the water.

② Add [A] to a bowl and mix.

③ Add ② to ① and mix.

তুরস্কে ঈদ আর আমার ভাবনা

 

তুরস্কে ঈদকে বলা হয় ‘শেকের বাইরেমা’ বা 'সুগার ফিস্ট'। অনেকটা পশ্চিমা সংস্কৃতির হ্যালোইনে যেমন হয়, তেমনই ঈদের দিন আত্মীয়স্বজনের বাড়িতে গিয়ে ক্যান্ডি নিয়ে জড়ো করে শিশুরা, এমনকি বড়রাও। এটাই তাঁদের ঈদ উদ্‌যাপন!

আমরা বাংলাদেশিরা ও বাচ্চাদের জন্য এমন একটা আয়োজন করতে পারি কারণ ক্লোজড রিলেটিভ দের বাচ্চাদের সেলামি দিলে ও তাদের সাথে আসা বাচ্চাদের জন্য একটা চকোলেট ব্যাগ দিতে পারি বা টাকা না দিয়ে সবাই কে একটা  উপহার ব্যাগ দিতে পারি । 

ঈদ এর দিন গেটে (ধনী , গরীব, টোকাই ) সবার জন্য একটা 

উপহার ব্যাগ বা চকোলেট ব্যাগ রেখে দিয়ে আপ্যায়িত করতে পারি।

কিংবা আত্মীয়স্বজনের বাড়িতে গিয়ে ক্যান্ডি নিয়ে জড়ো করে যাতে

বাচ্চারা আনন্দ করতে পারে  তার একটা আয়োজন থাক লে কেমন হয়।

'Brain Rot'

 

Do you ever feel like your intelligence is decreasing? Maybe you are working hard. But you are not getting the desired results. You are not able to concentrate well. Then it seems that your thinking power has lost its momentum. It has stopped in one place! Different people can give different explanations as the reason for such a situation. However, some will say that you are a victim of 'brain rot'. Literally, which means that the brain has rotted!

There is no such word in medical science. Although the word 'brain rot' is quite popular in modern society. Last year (in 2024), Oxford University Press named that phrase the 'Word of the Year'.

Who will be called brain rot?

In answering this question, it has been said that social media is filled with dull content that does not challenge intelligence. As a result of viewing such content in excessive quantities throughout the day, the individual's intelligence and intellectual capacity are also deteriorating significantly. Laziness is coming in the thinking power. The ability to think clearly is also decreasing. This deterioration is called brain rot.

Symptoms of Brain Rot

Those who have the problem of brain rot may have the following difficulties---

1. Problems with concentration, inability to focus on any one thing.

2. Deterioration of memory.

3. Increased level of mental fatigue.

4. Lack of motivation at work, lack of creativity.

Various studies have shown that all the habits that cause brain rot can cause deterioration of intelligence in the long term, and can even lead to dementia. Therefore, it is important to take care of brain health. For that, some habits need to be changed.

What habits need to be changed?

1. Reduce screen time

Continuous use of mobile phones or watching TV can dull the brain. It does not contain any element that improves thinking power. Rather, this habit can increase mental fatigue. It can also gradually reduce the ability to concentrate. Therefore, you should limit the time spent on social media, watching movies and series on your mobile. In total, you should not spend more than 2-3 hours a day on these activities. Instead, you should do more activities like reading books and exercising. This will stimulate the brain more.

2. Keep the brain active

The brain is like a muscle. If you do not exercise it regularly, it will lose its activity. To maintain your intelligence, do things that will challenge the brain. Solving puzzles, playing chess, learning a new skill, reading books, etc. activates different parts of the brain. This increases the ability to solve problems, memory, and creativity.

3. Exercise

Keeping the body healthy will indirectly keep the mind healthy. Regular exercise increases blood circulation to the brain. This provides the brain with the necessary oxygen and nutrients. Therefore, doctors recommend exercising for at least half an hour every day.

4. Brain food

The brain gets the necessary nutrients depending on the foods in the daily diet. If the brain does not get enough nutrition, inflammation, oxidative stress, and mental fatigue can occur. The following foods can be included in the diet to provide the necessary nutrients.

* Green leafy vegetables such as spinach.

* Nuts and grains for healthy fats.

* Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids

* Fruits rich in antioxidants.

5. Rest and Sleep

A tired brain cannot do any work properly. At the end of the day, the brain repairs itself, sets aside all the memories and revives itself for another day by sleeping. Without that sleep and rest, the brain becomes overwhelmed. The ability to think clearly decreases. Set a specific time for sleep to rest the brain. Sleep at that time every day. Try to sleep for at least 7-8 hours. Remove your eyes from the digital screen at least an hour before going to bed.

Does small cardamom help fight cancer?

 

A study in Switzerland on mice found that cardamom helped activate certain enzymes in the body that have the ability to fight cancer. Cardamom even has the ability to slow down the growth of tumors.

Acne is linked to brushing your teeth.

Acne is linked to toothbrushing.

 Recently, Mehs, a dermatologist and netizen from Turkey, posted a video on social media regarding this. In it, he said, "Many people wash their entire face first after waking up. Then they brush their teeth. This habit can lead to increased acne on the face."

The doctor also explained in detail what could be the reasons behind the relationship between brushing teeth and pimples on the face. While brushing, foam from the mouth can spread to the lips, chin or any other part of the face. Through that foam, acne-causing bacteria from the oral cavity can easily spread to the skin. Not only that, Mehs said, “There is a kind of harmful chemical in the toothpaste, which can also make the skin excessively dry. Therefore, the entire face should be washed thoroughly after brushing teeth.” Geetika Mittal Gupta, another dermatologist working at a private hospital in Delhi, agrees. According to her, “Such a problem can occur even if you brush your teeth after taking a bath.”

Does the research support this argument?

There is not much research on this subject. However, a research paper published in the 'International Journal of Toxicology' in 1983 said that various skin problems can occur due to 'sodium lauryl sulfate' or 'SLS' in soap. Because, 'SLS' is harmful to the skin. If this ingredient is present in skin cosmetics, doctors advise to avoid it. 'SLS' is also found in shampoo. However, if you wash your face thoroughly after brushing your teeth or taking a bath, such problems do not occur.

সবার উপরে ক্যাচাল সইত্য

 

ঈদের জামাতের পর ঢাকায় দেখলাম সরকারি উদ্যোগে মিছিল বের হইছে। সেখানে মুঘল আর সুলতানি আমলের ঈদকে ফিরাইয়া নিয়া আসার উদ্যোগ নেয়া হইছে।

এইটা বেশ ভাল হইছে। আমাদের ঈদ খুব পানসে। শুধু ঈদ না, আমাদের উৎসবও খুব পানসে। পেট ভাসাইয়া প্রচুর খাওয়া দাওয়া আর ঘুম ছাড়া আর কিছু নাই। ছেলেরা তাও বন্ধু বান্ধবের লগে এদিকসেদিক ঘোরাঘুরি করতে পারে, মেয়েরা তাও পারেনা। রান্নাঘরের চাপে দিশাহারা অবস্থা! সারা বছরতো রান্নাঘরে থাকা লাগেই, ঈদ আসলে আরেকটু বেশি থাকা লাগে। এই হল তফাৎ!

ঢাকার মিছিলের ছবি খুব ইন্টারেস্টিং লাগলো। মিছিলকারীরা সেইখানে আগেকার দিনের রাজা বাদশাহদের বিশাল বিশাল ছবি নিয়ে হাজির হইছে। এর সাথে হাতিঘোড়া, পশু-পাখিতো ছিলই। আমার পছন্দ হইছে!

এর মধ্যে আমার আইএ পড়া ভাতিজা গাইবান্ধা থেকে ফোন দিয়া কয়, ”চাচ্চু, তাইলে পয়েলা বৈশাখ কি দোষ করলো? ওইখানেতো তবু মাইনষের ছবিটবি থাকেনা, এইটাতো আরো কয়েক ডিগ্রী সরেস!” আমি মুচকি হেসে ভাতিজার দিকে তাকাইয়া আছি। ও কয়, ”আসল ঘটনা আর কিচ্ছু না, যত সমস্যা ওই ”মঙ্গল” নিয়া। মঙ্গল হইলো হিন্দু!” ওর মগজের প্রশংসা না করে পারলাম না। সাবাশ ভাতিজা...

এর মধ্যে আসল ক্যাচাল লাগছে নাসিরুদ্দীন হোজ্জারে নিয়া। বেচারা হোজ্জা কবে মইরা ভূত হইছে; কিন্তু ফারুকী এন্ড গং তার মূর্তি নিয়া হাজির হইছে মিছিলে। কিন্তু ক্যাচালটা লাগছে এই নিয়া যে, এই নব্য হোজ্জার আবার গোঁফ নাই। অরিজিনাল হোজ্জার কিন্তু ব্যাপক তা দেওয়া প্যাঁচানো মোছ আছিল। প্রমাণ হিসাবে তার ছবি দিলাম, দেখেন।

এদিকে নব্য হোজ্জার দিকে ভাল করে তাকালে তারে দেখতে বিশিষ্ট চুম্মা বিশারদের মত লাগে। খচ্চরের উপর বসাইয়া দেওয়ার কারণে কেউ তারে ”আমিরে খচ্চর” বলে ডাকলেও দোষ দেয়া যাবে না। চুম্মা দাদুরও আবার মোছ নাই। আবার দাঁড়ি কামিয়ে আবার তার দিকে তাকাইলে মনে হয় ক্ষুদ্র ঋণে নোবেল পাওয়া ইউসুফ সরকার। এই হলো শিল্পের শক্তি। একই ছবির দিকে তাকালে একবার ড. আবার ডা. বলে ভ্রম হয়! অথচ শিল্পীকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন, উনি বলবে এতো হোজ্জা!!!

বাঙালি আসলে ‍বুঝতে পারতেছে না, সে আসলে মুসলমান হইবো নাকি বাঙালি হইবো। আরেকদল এই দুইটার ফিউশন হইতে চায়। কিন্তু এরা আবার সব হইতে রাজি আছে, তবে সেটা ৪৭ পর্যন্ত হওয়া লাগবে! ৪৭ থেকে টুপ করে ২৪ এ চলে আসতে হবে, মাঝখানে আর কিচ্ছু নাই। খবরদার, একাত্তরের নাম মুখেও আনা যাবে না...

কি এক ক্যাচালে যে আছি!! তবুও এই ক্যাচাইল্লা জাতিরে ঈদ মুবারক। সবার উপরে ক্যাচাল সইত্য, তাহার ‍উপরে খানা। মিস ইউ বাংলাদেশ...ঈদের দিনেও এসব ক্যাচাল উপহার দেওয়ার জন্য ”আই লাভ ইউ!”

 ঈদের চাঁদ রাতে বেশির ভাগ মেয়েরা হাতে মেহেদি লাগায়, এইটা আমাদের ঐতিহ্য ।

আমাদের মেয়ে বেলায় আম রা মেহেদি পাতা বেটে মেহেদি লাগাতাম। খুব ই সিম্পল ছিল সেই গুলি। একটা গোল, চাঁদ তারা। এখন টিঊব মেহেদি হওয়ায় অনেক স্টাইলে মেহেদি লাগান যায়।

রবীন্দ্রনাথকে নিয়ে প্রোপাগান্ডা

 

রবীন্দ্রনাথকে পাকিস্তানি শাসক গোষ্ঠি যতটা ঘৃণা করত,ততটাই ঘৃণা করে আল বটর বাহিনী এবং এক শ্রেণির উগ্র ধর্মান্ধ গোষ্ঠি।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ আমার জানামতে কখনো ইসলাম ধর্মকে সরাসরি আক্রমণ করেনি৷ রবীন্দ্রনাথ বঙ্গভঙ্গকে মনে করতেন ব্রিটিশদের 'ডিভাইড এন্ড র‍্যুল' পলিসি,যেখানে রবীন্দ্রনাথ চাননি ধর্মের নাম দিয়ে দেশ ভাগ হোক,তিনি হিন্দু-মুসলিম ঐক্যের কথা বলতেন যার কারণে সেসময়ে তার নেতৃত্বে হিন্দু মুসলিমদের মধ্যে রাখী পরানো হয়।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার বিরোধীতা করেছিলেন এমন কোন অখাট্য দলিল ও নেই। উলটো ইতিহাস বলে রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার বিরোধীতা নয়,বরঞ্চ তিনি বিরোধী ছিলেন কিভাবে/কোন প্রসেসে ঢাবি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হবে সেবিষয়ে।

ব্রিটিশরা ধর্মের আড়ালে ১৯০৫ সালে বঙ্গভঙ্গ করে যা ১৯১১ সালে ব্যর্থ হয়। ব্রিটিশ সরকার মুসলিমদের খুশী করতে উদ্যোগ নেয় ঢাবি প্রতিষ্ঠার কিন্তু, এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য ঢাকা ও পূর্ববঙ্গের জনগণের কাছ থেকে 'চাঁদা' ও জমিদারদের কাছ থেকে 'অনুদান' আদায় করা হয়। মূলত ঢাকা কলেজ ও জগন্নাথ কলেজের জমিদারি তহবিলের অর্থ ব্যবহার করা হয়, যা নিয়ে রবীন্দ্রনাথ আপত্তি করেছিলেন।

রবীন্দ্রনাথ এক চিঠিতে লিখেছিলেন

> "ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য যে অর্থ নেওয়া হচ্ছে, তা যদি প্রকৃতপক্ষে শিক্ষার কল্যাণে ব্যয় হয়, তবে আমি তাতে আপত্তি করব না। কিন্তু, এটি জনগণের ওপর জোর করে চাপিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে, যা অনৈতিক।"

অর্থাৎ,রবীন্দ্রনাথ চেয়েছিলেন ঢাবির জন্য তহবিল সরাসরি ব্রিটিশ সরকার দিক। কিন্তু আল বটর বাহিনী এই তথ্যকে সম্পূর্ণ আড়াল করে মানুষকে বুঝাল রবি ঠাকুর ঢাবির বিরোধী ছিলেন!

উগ্র হিন্দুত্ববাদীরা আওরঙ্গজেবকে নিয়ে যেমন প্রোপাগান্ডা চালায় তেমনি এদেশের আল বটর গোষ্টি পাকিস্তানিদের ভাষাতেই রবীন্দ্রনাথকে নিয়ে তেমন ই প্রোপাগান্ডা চালাতে থাকে যুগ যুগ ধরে।

ধর্মীয়ভাবে বিতর্কিত হতে পারে এমন অনেক লেখাই লিখেছিলেন কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম। নিজের পুত্রদের নামের সাথেও তিনি হিন্দুয়ানী নাম জুড়ে দেন কিন্তু এদেশের মানুষ আর আল বটর ভালোবাসে কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম কে। কোনভাবে রবীন্দ্রনাথের নাম যদি মোহাম্মদ অমুক তমুক হত তাহলে এই উগ্র ইসলামপন্থীরা তাকেও ভালোবাসত।

মূলত রবীন্দ্রনাথ নজরুল বাংলার দুই মহীরূহ যারা আজীবন মানবতার জয়গান গেয়েছেন,ধর্মীয় কুসংস্কারের বিরুদ্ধে বলেছেন,হিন্দু-মুসলিম ঐক্যের কথা বলেছেন,বলেছেন মানবতা-সাম্য আর একতার কথা। এই মহাপুরুষেরা সমৃদ্ধ করেছেন আমাদের প্রিয় মাতৃভাষা বাংলাকে,করেছেন এই ভাষার ভিত্তি মজবুত।

স্বাভাবিকভাবেই,উগ্র ধর্মান্ধ গোষ্টি আর আল বটর মেনে নিতে পারেনি সনজীদা খাতুনের শেষবিদায়ে রবীন্দ্রনাথের আগমণ।

রবীন্দ্রনাথের মুসলিমদের নিয়ে কিছু লেখা

 

ধর্মীয় অসহিষ্ণুতার এই উপমহাদেশে রবীন্দ্রনাথ,নজরুলেরা একেকজন রাজনীতির গুটির চাল। বিপক্ষ চরমপন্থী শক্তি চেষ্টা করে এদের ধর্মের বিরুদ্ধে দাড় করানোর। রবীন্দ্রনাথ যেমন এদেশের উগ্র ধর্মান্ধ এবং আল বটরের কাছে একটা স্রেফ রাজনীতি। কিন্তু তারা গেয়েছে মানবতার গান,বলেছে মানুষের একতার কথা,কলম ধরেছে গোড়ামির বিরুদ্ধে। আসুন দেখে নিই রবীন্দ্রনাথের মুসলিমদের নিয়ে কিছু লেখা।

১. "আমাদের দেশে এমন অসংখ্য লোক আছে, মুসলমান যাদের কুয়ো থেকে জল তুলতে এলে মুসলমানকে মেরে খুন করতে যারা কুণ্ঠিত হয় না।"

২. "ভারতবর্ষের অধিবাসীদের দুই মোটা ভাগ, হিন্দু ও মুসলমান। যদি ভাবি, মুসলমানদের অস্বীকার করে এক পাশে সরিয়ে দিলেই দেশের সকল মঙ্গলপ্রচেষ্টা সফল হবে, তা হলে বড়োই ভুল করব"

৩. "মানুষের প্রতি মানুষের আস্থা যদি উঠে যায়, তবে ধর্ম থাকে না, সভ্যতাও থাকে না। মুসলমান সমাজে যে গভীর ধর্মবিশ্বাস আছে, সেটাই তাদের ঐক্য ও শক্তির মূল।"

হিব্রু বাইবেলের (旧约圣经) প্রথম দিককার গ্রন্থগুলোতে ব্যক্তিগত পুনরুত্থানের কোনো সুস্পষ্ট উল্লেখ নেই। যেমন, তোরাহ বা পেন্টাটিউকে (যেমন: আদি, নির্গমন, লেবীয়, গণনা ও দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ) মৃত্যু-পরবর্তী জীবনের উল্লেখ প্রায় অনুপস্থিত। মৃতদের অবস্থান সাধারণত শিওল (שְׁאוֹל) নামে পরিচিত, যা এক ধরণের ছায়াময়, নীরব অবস্থান—নরকের ধারণার কাছাকাছি, তবে শাস্তি বা পুরষ্কারের স্পষ্ট ধারণা নেই।

পারসিক জরথুষ্ট্রীয় ধর্মের শেষ বিচার (Final Judgment) ও পুনরুত্থান (Resurrection) ধারণা ইহুদিদের মধ্যে জনপ্রিয় হয়, বিশেষ করে ব্যাবিলনীয় নির্বাসনের (Babylonian Exile, ৬ষ্ঠ শতাব্দী BCE) পর।

দানিয়েলের বই (২য় শতাব্দী BCE) ইহুদি ধর্মে প্রথম স্পষ্ট ব্যক্তিগত পুনরুত্থানের কথা বলে:

"মৃতদের মধ্যে অনেকে পুনরুত্থিত হবে, কেউ চিরস্থায়ী জীবন লাভ করবে, আর কেউ অপমানিত ও শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত হবে।" (দানিয়েল ১২:২)

ফারিসিদের মতে, মশীহ আসার পর ন্যায়পরায়ণরা পুনরুত্থিত হবে, কিন্তু সদুকিরা (Sadducees) পুনরুত্থানে বিশ্বাস করত না।

নিটশা যে বলেছিলেন, গড ইজ ডেড, কেন বলেছিলেন?

 

মানুষকে ধর্মশূন্য করা আমার লক্ষ্য নয়। ধর্মের ক্ষতিকর দিক যেমন আছে, তেমনি এর উপকারী দিকও আছে। ধর্ম না থাকলে জানাজা, সৎকার, আভেলুত, প্রার্থনা, উৎসব, শেষকৃত্য, বিয়ে, এগুলো থাকতো না। জানাজা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়। মৃত্যুর পর একটি জীবকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বিদায় দেয়া, এটি মানুষ ছাড়া আর কোনো প্রাণীর ক্ষেত্রে ঘটে না। অন্ত্যেষ্টিক্রিয়া আমাদের কী দেয়? এমনিতে মনে হয় কিছুই দেয় না, তবে গভীরভাবে তাকালে দেখা যাবে, এটি সমাজে একধরনের ‘সেন্স অব মিনিং’ সৃষ্টি করে। প্রার্থনায় ঈশ্বরের হয়তো কিছুই যায় আসে না, কিন্তু প্রার্থনাকারীর মনে এটি বড় পরিবর্তন আনে। সমাজের যে-কালচারাল ও মোরাল ভ্যালু, তাও কিছুটা ধর্মের হাত ধরেই সংরক্ষিত হয়। ন্যায়বিচার, আইনের শাসন, অধিকার, সমতা, এগুলোর পরিচর্যায় ধর্মের ভালো ভূমিকা আছে। নিটশা যে বলেছিলেন, গড ইজ ডেড, কেন বলেছিলেন? নিটশার কথার অর্থ এই নয় যে ঈশ্বরের আর প্রয়োজন নেই, বা ঈশ্বর মারা গেছেন। বরং কথাটি তিনি বলেছিলেন আক্ষেপ করে। কারণ ওই সময়, ইউরোপে ধর্মভিত্তিক খ্রিষ্টীয় মোরালিটি দ্রুত উধাও হয়ে যাচ্ছিলো। ফলে সমাজ একেবারেই নিহিলিস্টিক ভ্যাকুয়ামের দিকে চলে যায় কিনা, এমন আশংকা তৈরি হয়েছিলো। যন্ত্রসভ্যতার ফাঁদে পড়ে মানুষ যেন মেকানিক্যাল রোবট না হয়ে ওঠে, জীবনের মানে যেন সে হারিয়ে না ফেলে, এ ভয় থেকেই নিটশা উচ্চারণ করেছিলেন— গড ইজ ডেড! শরবত দীর্ঘকাল সংরক্ষণের জন্য যেমন প্রিজার্ভেটিভ দরকার, তেমনি কোনো প্রথা, আচার, রীতি, সংস্কৃতি, এগুলো টিকিয়ে রাখার জন্যও ধর্ম দরকার। এ বিবেচনায়, ধর্ম একপ্রকার কালচারাল প্রিজার্ভেটিভ।

কিন্তু ‘ধর্ম’ কী? ধর্ম হলো ‘প্যাকেজ অব কালচার্স’ বা সংস্কৃতির সমারোহ। কিছু নির্দিষ্ট সংস্কৃতি একীভূত হয়ে যখন কালেক্টিভ প্রথা আকারে সমাজে বিরাজ করে, তখন সেটিকে ধর্ম বলে। ‘ধর্ম’ আর ‘প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক ধর্ম’ এক জিনিস নয়। ইসলাম, ক্রিশ্চিয়ানিটি, ইহুদীবাদ, হিন্দুত্ববাদ, এগুলো প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক ধর্ম। অর্গানাইজড রিলিজোন। অর্গানাইজড রিলিজোন আগ্রাসী। এর রাজনীতিক ক্ষমতা আছে। অন্য ধর্ম, অন্য মত, অন্য নবী, অন্য সংস্কৃতি, এগুলোর প্রতি প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক ধর্মগুলো সহনশীল নয়।"
