       Egyptian Sobia

Sobia is well-known as a healthy drink for iftar in Middle Eastern countries. However, it is more popular in Egypt, where Sobia originated.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons rice powder

2 cups water

3 cups skimmed milk

4.Sugar (as needed)

5. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

6. 2 cups coconut milk. If you don't have coconut milk, you can use grated coconut.

How to make

If you don't have rice powder, you can grind 3 tablespoons of fragrant rice in a grinder. Make sure the rice powder is very fine.

Put the rice powder in a bowl and pour some water into it. Shake it a little and keep it in the refrigerator overnight with a lid (at least 6 hours).

Pour the rice powder and coconut milk, along with the water, into a blender and blend for a while.

Strain through cheesecloth or a fine strainer.

Pour into a glass and refrigerate until cool.

If you want, you can sprinkle various types of chopped nuts on the glass before serving.
