Hell is not deep under the abyss
The story goes that Emperor Akbar ordered Anarkali to be buried alive between two buildings for having sex with his son, Prince Selim.
However, this is just a story, nothing like this happened in reality. It was just false propaganda against the Mughals.
But our women do not need King Akbar's son, Prince Selim, they are determined to create hell in their own minds by burying themselves alive. Either by the will of their guardians, or if not, by themselves.
Most girls in this country, taking the idealistic thoughts of their teenage years or the false beliefs of controlling women that are prevalent in society, media, dramas, novels, or sermons, as truth, create the character of Anarkali for themselves.
As the Italian poet Dante wrote in his Divine Comedy - imprisoned emotions are hell - and that hell is not deep under the abyss, but in the minds of people imprisoned in the chains of emotions.
