When an apple falls on the earth from a tree, it is not for the apple’s fault or not of the earth’s credit, that is the property of space; without which there would be no apple and no earth. When I look at you with love and passion, it is also neither for my weakness nor for your pretentiousness, it is the law of nature; without which, there would be no me and no you – this is thus serious.

খ্রীষ্টের জন্মের ৮০০ বছর আগে যাজ্ঞবল্ক বলেছিলেন:

“এখন একটি মানুষ হিসাবে কেউ এমন কেউ তেমন,

নির্ভর করে সে যা করে অথবা তার আচার ব্যবহাররের উপর, সে তেমনই হবে;

ভাল কাজ যারা করে তারা ভালই তো হবে, মন্দ কাজের লোক মন্দ;

শুদ্ধ ক্রিয়কলাপে সে হয় শুদ্ধ, অশুদ্ধ ক্রিয়কলাপে হয় অশুদ্ধ;

এবং বলা হয় থাকে তোমার গভীর অন্তরের কামনা যা, তুমি তাই;

তোমার কামনা যা, তোমার ইচ্ছাও তাই;

তোমার ইচ্ছা যা, তেমনই তোমার কর্ম;

তোমার কর্ম যা, সেটাই তোমার নিয়তি।“

 মূর্খের কাছে কখনো অমূল্য সম্পদ থাকে না। সে সেই সম্পদ ধরে রাখতে পারে না।
