Brain aging reduces life expectancy!

New research says that the 'age' of the brain can tell your life expectancy. The relationship between survival and an alert, fresh brain is very high.

A team of researchers from Stanford University in California took a total of 44,498 people from the British Health Research Database and examined them. Blood analysis techniques were applied to the data of those 44,498 people aged 40 to 70.

"The brain is the gatekeeper of our long life. If your brain ages, the chances of death will also increase. And the older you get, the more likely you are to survive if your brain is fresh."

Research says that those with a 'very old' brain (seven percent of old age) are almost twice as likely to die within the next 15 years. In comparison, those with a younger brain age have a brain that is in line with normal biological age. Those with a 'very alert' brain have a 40 percent lower chance of premature death (due to physical causes).

As the average life expectancy of people increases due to the development of science and technology, the number of people around them who are losing their memory rapidly is increasing. They are suffering from Alzheimer's. There is still no cure for the disease. Researchers claim that people with an 'old' brain are 3.1 times more likely to suffer from Alzheimer's. Those whose brains are alert are 74 percent less likely to suffer from this disease.

How to keep your brain fresh?

How carefully you cross the road, how much nutritious food you eat - the 'age' of the brain depends on such small things every day.

To keep your brain fresh, you have to do things that keep your mind happy. Which increases excitement. This can also help new cells develop in the brain.

The 'health' of the brain largely depends on eating nutritious food. Those who eat protein-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, fish, and nuts have fresh memory.

It is also important to keep the muscles strong for the sake of the brain. Regular exercise increases the blood supply to different parts of the brain. Oxygen-rich blood reaches the place from where people think faster as a result of exercise.

High blood pressure can weaken the brain. Therefore, exercise, stress relief, and good food are necessary to keep blood pressure under control. You should not drink more than two glasses of alcohol a day.

It is also necessary to keep your blood sugar levels under control to keep your brain healthy. Having diabetes increases the chances of dementia.

Keeping cholesterol levels under control and taking low-dose aspirin can help prevent brain aging. Along with this, any type of tobacco product must be avoided. Increasing social contact is one of the keys to keeping the brain fresh. Research shows that those who live alone and think alone have their brains 'age' faster. But those who live in harmony with everyone and share their thoughts with others have their brains stay sharp for longer.
