Harvard University and the Taj Mahal were both built at the same time.

Harvard University and the Taj Mahal were both built at the same time.

So, while their billionaires were busy building one university after another, ours were busy building the Taj Mahal or all the amateur gardens.

And that too using the people's tax money.

But how many universities could be built with the cost of one Taj Mahal? I have no idea.

I don't know why that trend is still going on.

I really like one thing about the billionaires of the West. They build wealth. But they don't dance with that wealth. They donate all their money before they die.

This trend is completely absent among the billionaires of our subcontinent.

That's why you see, many universities in America are named after individuals. But can you show any billionaire in Bangladesh or India who built a university or hospital with his own property?

DU came into being because Nawab Salimullah was doing it.

But no one else has done it since then.

Although many people are happy if someone from Pakistan, India or the subcontinent becomes a millionaire, the truth is, if someone from the West earns this money, it could have been your profit. But the people of the subcontinent are so stupid that they will dress their sons in gold clothes, but they will never build a university.

That day, a billionaire woman came and donated all her wealth to Einstein Medical School. The result? Those students will no longer have to take education loans to study. They will be able to study for free.

If the woman wanted, she could bring a Hollywood hero and heroine to dance with her. But how long would people remember that? So she made such an arrangement that this doctor, her son and daughter, are forced to remember this woman for the rest of their lives. They are also forced to pray.

Many of us have a kind of unnecessary pride in the people or culture of our subcontinent.

And there is an unnecessary hatred towards the West.

But the truth is, if there are 100 billionaires in your country or subcontinent, Salman and Shah Rukh will benefit the most. The provision of free medicine for you will ultimately come from the money donated by Bill Gates or Warren Buffett.

No billionaire in your country will arrange a scholarship for you. Rather, you may be able to study one day with the money donated by a billionaire in the West.

And the thoughts and actions of the people of the West say that they are much more humane than us, much less selfish.

Alfred Nobel gave a large part of his wealth to science and economics in his last years. If that Alfred Nobel had been from this subcontinent, he would have spent half on his son's marriage and half on his daughter's marriage.

At his last age, he would have built a mosque or temple and died with the title of social worker.

After death, the son, wife, daughter, daughter's son-in-law and brothers and nephews would start sharing the wealth. There would be lawsuits, attacks. Brothers would fight and curse each other after they died.

But this is the picture after the death of most billionaires in Bangladesh.

I am not comparing. Who does what with whose money, of course, is a personal matter for each person.

But personally, I really like this human side of the billionaires of the West.

It remains to be seen how many more thousands of years it will take for our billionaires to reach that level of thinking.
