If there is one part of our body that we use the most, it is probably the feet. Think about it! ‘Feet are the foundation of our body.’ By taking care of our feet, you can avoid discomfort, maintain mobility, and enjoy an active lifestyle. But we are quite indifferent to foot care. On the other hand, we are much more conscious about skin care. For example, we decorate our skin with various serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, and so on. But in the case of ‘feet’! ‘No care’; that is, total neglect. As a result, the difference between the skin of our hands, feet, and face becomes sky and earth due to carelessness. However, it is possible to take care of our feet at home. Let’s find out the methods:
► Soak your feet in lukewarm water for a while at least once a week. This will wash away all the dirt accumulated in the corners of your nails. Mix lemon juice and baking soda in the water. This will not only clean your feet, but also remove the tan.
► Use adequate moisturizer on your feet. When the skin of your feet becomes excessively dry, various problems arise. So use enough moisturizer on your feet before going to bed at night.
► Scrubbing is important not only for the face but also for the skin of the feet. It reduces skin blemishes and tan. You can easily make a scrub at home. Coffee and honey are quite effective scrubs.
► To avoid 'ingrown nails', trim your toenails straight. Use a file to smooth the tips. Keeping your nails at a medium length reduces the risk of breakage.
► It is also good to make a habit of wearing shoes that cover the 'feet'. This keeps your feet protected. It also keeps your feet away from dust.
