Crispy fried raw corn

 


[Ingredients for 2 people]


- 1 stalk of raw corn


- Frying oil, as needed


<Batter>


- 2 tablespoons of flour


- 1 tablespoon of potato starch


- 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder


- A little salt and pepper


<Egg water>


- 1 egg yolk


- 1-2 tablespoons of water


[Preparation]


- Remove the kernels from the corn with a knife.

・Mix together the ingredients for the <egg water>.


・Pour frying oil into a frying pan to a depth of about 1cm and begin preheating to 170℃.


[How to make]


1. Mix together the ingredients for the <batter> in a bowl, add the corn and mix quickly. Finally, add the <egg water> and mix until it comes together easily.

2. Using a large spoon, scoop (1) and drop it into 170℃ deep-frying oil. Once the surface has hardened, turn it over and fry until golden and crispy on both sides. Serve on a plate.
