Meeting a Palestinian. He said: “The Jews have been calling on Allah for four thousand years. The Muslims have been calling on Allah for fourteen hundred years. It took the Jews four thousand years to understand that Allah does not interfere in the affairs of people and that He does not care about the death of people. It will also take four thousand years for the Muslims. The suffering of the Muslims will not end until four thousand years pass. After four thousand years, they will understand that Allah does not like fanaticism, does not accept the worship of fools, does not bother about women's clothing, and is always on the side of knowledge and science. Why should Allah be on the side of those who can kill a woman for not covering her hair (Masha Amini)? Those who cry when Muslims die, and do not cry when people die; there is no reason for Allah to respond to their call. Unless four thousand years pass, the Muslims will not understand that the world does not belong to Muslims only. It belongs to people. And people survive through struggle, through change, not through prayers and supplications. The excellence of people is basically the excellence of knowledge and science, the excellence of art. Those who believe that if an infidel is killed, Allah is pleased, there is joy at the death of a Jew, happiness at the death of a Hindu, celebration at the death of an atheist, grief at the death of a Muslim, those whose religion is this, will understand after four thousand years that the path was not right. One year for a wise man, four thousand years for a fool. The Jews have abandoned their fanaticism and are clinging to their religion, but the Muslims are not abandoning their fanaticism for fear of losing their religion. They will not understand until four thousand years have passed, that religion is the name of all people living together in the world. Wishing for the destruction of others is not a religion. A religion that does not free people, but imprisons them, is the religion of Satan. It is not of Allah.”
