Look at the doctors, they do not feel any sexual attraction towards the patient who has come to them for treatment. Even if the doctor is a male gynecologist and the patient is a female. Even if the doctor removes the clothes and shows the private parts, the doctor remains silent. This is called professional purity. It is forbidden in medicine. If this is 100% followed in a scientific profession like medicine and if the thinking process or cognition and behavior of doctors towards the patient becomes asexual, then why is it not the case with Muslim missionaries? Why can't they have asexual thinking and behavior towards a woman. Why do their organs get wet with juice when they see a woman as beautiful as a tamarind? The great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy wrote a story about this.
A modern young woman, overconfident in the greatness of her appearance, was returning to her hometown in a horse-drawn carriage after having a picnic with her friends and laughing. While passing a village on the way, the gentleman sitting next to him raised his hand and said, "That priest who lives here. He was a handsome prince, once a great devotee of the emperor and a general. On the day of his wedding, after discovering the emperor's illicit relationship with his beloved lover, he became disillusioned and lost his way in the pursuit of God."
The girl became enthusiastic about her friend's words. She mocked herself - he knew all those saints, but deep down inside they were men who were hungry for women. The girl challenged him verbally. It was agreed that the friends would drop the girl off here, and they would come back tomorrow morning to pick her up. The girl would spend the night in the priest's bed. That was the bet. The proud girl was sure that no man could say no to her request.
In the evening, the irresistible, beautiful young woman, dressed in a rain-soaked dress, knocked on the closed door of the praying priest's house. Hearing the woman's voice, the praying father did not open the door. The girl made many pleas and pleas. The woman finally succeeded in her cunning tricks in acting as a helpless woman in danger on a night of disaster.
The priest opened the door despite being annoyed. The two pairs of eyes exchanged glances for a moment. The understanding of the body's desire and getting it became clear in that momentary glance, and then the woman realized that victory was imminent with her feminine power, it was only a matter of time. But the father, terrified by his own weakness, allowed her to stay for the night and quickly went to another room. He became absorbed in prayer.
A moment later, the half-naked woman began to call the father again with a fake laugh, a soft scream, to help her undress. The more the woman, confident in her attractive power, continued to use her emotional weapons, the more her cunning tricks became stronger, the more the intensity of the trembling words of the voice uttered from the holy book coming from the next room increased.
When the general appeal did not work, the girl started to act out physical pain. She asked for help in a soft voice, as if she was in danger from the pain. On one side, the father, who was distracted by his vow and on the other side by desire, said, “I am coming right now” and ran to the hut where the firewood was cut. He picked up the axe that was propped up on the wall. He placed the index finger of his left hand on the piece of wood used for chopping firewood and took the axe in his right hand and gave it a blow.
Before he felt the pain, he heard the sound of the piece of index finger falling to the ground. Then, in severe pain, he wrapped the corner of his sleeve around the cut and stood in front of the girl and said, “What happened, sister?” The girl, who was ashamed of the suddenness of the incident, jumped out of bed and somehow covered herself with the clothes that had fallen down. She noticed that blood was flowing from the cut on her hand, the man of her desire for tonight.
The girl ran out. Even though she accepts losing to her friends, she cannot find peace in her heart. Even though her pride is crushed, she cannot settle in the world. To get rid of her guilt and sorrow, the girl becomes a monk in a monastery.
But that father? He becomes so famous day by day that people say that leprosy is cured by his touch. People come from far and wide in the hope of a little holy touch from him. But she herself understands, day by day, as she experiences more and more falls, in the desire for his gaze, that her heart is not pure – despite being a famous priest, her sexual desire, self-esteem, and hunger for not having anything are not decreasing. Rather, they are increasing like a ferocious animal. Where beauty and modesty were the clothes before, the more famous she becomes, the more they are also disappearing. The greed and lust of being famous are being applied to the immature, unwanted, and dirty day by day.
The unrest in her heart does not seem to leave her. She leaves everything again. She is lost again, this time in her own village. There he finds the answer to all his questions about love and pursuit, his childhood neighbor, his cousin, whom he had always mocked and ridiculed as a failure, a fool, and an idiot. He sees with amazement that the girl has got everything she wanted. The love of her beloved family and the holy touch of God. The girl has got everything she had worked so hard to get, in her simple life story of eight years, by simply sacrificing herself and wishing for the welfare of people.
The story written by Tolstoy is called 'Father Sergei'. Where he shows that love and the pursuit of God in life are not achieved with the aim of competition and winning. It is a process that captures people through the practice of ordinary daily life to support them, while maintaining sacrifice and faith in the mind. Those who love life and move on the path of inner peace are the ones who find that supreme adoration. Life, isolated romanticism or idealism - both fail, the result is only a life full of lies and self-deception where there is no peace.
Personality theories, part of psychology, say that not all people in the world are equally skilled in controlling their behavior. It is a healthy and complete psychological process to adapt behavior and motivation or drive according to environmental situations from thinking processes or cognition. Immature mentality, which is often caused by congenital or genetic imperfection or mental trauma or development in anti-social situations during childhood, can create personalities who are incapable of self-control even in professional life. Therefore, they never find the path to inner peace. How will they find the holy touch of God? Their end is the path of Satan, on both sides of which there are only tamarind trees.
