Chicken thigh and radish simmered in dashi stock

 


Ingredients:


1/4 daikon radish


1 chicken thigh


1/2 tablespoon salad oil


[A] 1 1/2 tablespoons white dashi stock


[A] 1 tablespoon soy sauce


[A] 1 tablespoon sake


[A] 1 tablespoon mirin


[A] 1/2 tablespoon sugar


Directions:


1. Peel the daikon radish and cut it into 7-8mm thick slices. Place in a heat-resistant bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes.


2. Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Arrange the bite-sized chicken thighs and cook until golden brown on both sides.


3. Add 1 and [A] to 2. and mix quickly. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Finish!


Sprinkle with finely chopped green onions, if desired, and enjoy!
