Crispy & Chewy: "Anko Mochi Pie Style"

 


【Ingredients】 (Serves 2)


■ Gyoza wrappers: 8

■ Smooth red bean paste (koshi-an): Appropriate amount

■ Rice paper sheets: 2

■ Water: Appropriate amount

■ Vegetable oil: 1 tablespoon


【Instructions】


① Place the red bean paste onto the rice paper (moistened with water), roll it up tightly, and cut it into four equal pieces. Repeat this process for the second sheet of rice paper.


② Place a piece from step ① in the center of a gyoza wrapper, then fold both ends toward the center so they overlap. Dab a little water on the overlapping parts to seal them.


③ Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and fry the dumplings from step ②. Once both sides are browned, arrange them on a serving plate.
