Nanban-style marinated chicken breast and new onions

Ingredients:

1 chicken breast

[A] 1/3 teaspoon salt

[A] Pepper to taste

Cornstarch to taste

1 new onion (1/2 if large)

[B] 2 tablespoons water

[B] 2 tablespoons vinegar

[B] 2 tablespoons soy sauce

[B] 2 tablespoons sugar

[B] 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger

[B] Red chili pepper to taste

Instructions:

① Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, rub in [A], and coat with cornstarch. Heat 4-5 tablespoons of vegetable oil (not included in the ingredients list) in a frying pan over medium heat and pan-fry both sides until golden brown.

② Peel the new onion, cut it in half, and slice thinly. Let it air out for about 10 minutes to remove the bitterness.

③ Place ① and ② in a heat-resistant storage container and pour the mixed [B] over them. Refrigerate for 2 hours, then it's ready!

Serve with white sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired!
