I see some of my artistic classmates criticizing Mithila for being un-Islamic in the Miss World pageant these days. I wonder what they would have done if they were as fit as Mithila is now?
When Muslim women in Bangladesh reach their forties, I see many of them wearing hijabs and burqas along with prayers, giving up music and playing musical instruments, and getting busy with preparations for their afterlife. Mashallah. I have seen this trend since childhood. This trend is observed in the case of those of my time. However, some have always been serious about the veil since childhood. I have seen them too. Some are like me. They have worn a headscarf if they wanted to, and they have not. People like me do what they think is right in their personal thoughts. They do not let religion or conventional customs weigh heavily on their lives, they do or do not do as much as they think is logical.
In fact, religion is a matter of each person's belief. We are not all the same. Everyone will give an account of their deeds. Then is it right to consider everyone in their own way with religious dress thoughts?
It seems that an attempt is being made to impose fanaticism on others in our society in the name of religious thoughts. Since a person's heaven and hell will be according to the account of his deeds, let him express his thoughts about his dress. Why increase sins in his record by unnecessarily criticizing someone? Who knows, even by competing in the Miss World contest, Mithila may be able to do something good for many that even crores of women have never been able to do.
Therefore, people should choose the path of progress according to their wishes so that there is no harm to others. If the spontaneity of progress is obstructed,
Bangladesh itself will lag behind, no one in the world will be affected by it, and the Miss World contest will not stop either. Rather, the world will know that Bangladesh is a country steeped in fanaticism, where instead of speaking out to stop injustice, corruption, looting, terrorism, murder, and brutality,
people spend their conscience criticizing Mithila, who deserves to be in the Miss World contest.
That is why it is jokingly said that the hell in which the people of Bangladesh will be, will not need guards. So I tell Mithilas, do not listen to these things. You have come this far by burning a lot of wood, go ahead and go even further, do not listen to our words and criticism. We could not do anything ourselves, so some of us like to make your heart a little bit sting by saying a few firecrackers. It is the fault of Bangladesh's climate. You do not listen to it. Go ahead Miss Universe Bangladesh 🇧🇩 Tanzia Zaman Mithila. Your determination, moving forward will create a dream of moving forward in the minds of many more Mithilas. This is our achievement. Let women move forward like her.
