Sweet potato rice

 


[Ingredients (for 2 servings)]

Rice: 2 cups

Sweet potato: 300g

Salted kelp: 20g

Sake: 1 tablespoon

Salt: 1/3 teaspoon

Water: appropriate amount


[Instructions]

(1) Wash the rice. Wash the sweet potato thoroughly and cut it into 1.5cm cubes. Soak it in water for about 10 minutes to remove the bitterness.

(2) Put the rice, sake, and salt into a rice cooker and add water up to the 2-cup mark.


(3) Place the drained sweet potato on top and cook the rice.

(4) Finely chop the salted kelp.

(5) Once the rice is cooked, add the chopped salted kelp and mix briefly (be careful not to break up the sweet potato). Serve in a bowl.
