The spices mixed with jaggery will keep cough away

The unpredictable weather before the arrival of winter is affecting people's health. Cold and cough have become common during this time. Due to which people are forced to go to the hospital without any means. However, many people in rural areas are still recovering at home using home remedies recommended by the elders.

One such remedy is a mixture of jaggery and turmeric. This home recipe made with these ingredients is so effective in winter that it can provide significant relief from cough in just one night.

The special thing is that it is given to the patient before going to bed and after that they are not allowed to drink water or eat anything. This remedy is considered a medicine for everyone from children to the elderly.

Benefits of eating jaggery and turmeric together

According to Ayurvedic experts, turmeric and jaggery are considered medicinal. Turmeric acts as an anti-allergic and antibiotic. On the other hand, jaggery is called an expectorant. It contains alkaline elements, so it reduces or dissolves phlegm.

When mixed with turmeric, the mixture is infused with anti-allergic and mucolytic properties. When given to a cough patient, it acts as a medicine, completely eliminating the disease.

Not only in ancient times, but even today, villagers consider this home remedy to be the most reliable. Sometimes, when even the doctor's medicine does not work, people resort to it.

How to make

To make this mixture, take a piece of jaggery, add an equal amount of turmeric or a little more according to taste and mix it well.

After that, make a ball and keep it in your mouth until it is finished and eat it slowly.

Correct time and method of consumption

It is always given before going to bed, so that its medicinal properties can be utilized by the morning. It is forbidden to drink water or eat anything else after taking it. Water should not be consumed, as it dilutes the alkaline properties of turmeric and jaggery and reduces the medicinal effect. If absolutely necessary, lukewarm water can be drunk. Cold water should not be drunk.
