Ingredients/Easy Servings
Green peppers...4-5
(A) Ground beef...250g
(A) Onion...1/4 large
(A) Potato starch...1 tablespoon
(A) Mayonnaise...1 tablespoon
(A) Breadcrumbs...3 tablespoons
(A) Salt and pepper...to taste
Oil...to taste
(B) Ketchup and medium-thick sauce...2-3 tablespoons each
(B) Sugar...1 tablespoon
Directions
1. Slice the green peppers into 1.5-2cm slices and remove the seeds and pulp. Place the green peppers and potato starch (not included) in a plastic bag and coat thoroughly. Finely chop the onion.
2. Place all ingredients in A in a bowl, mix well, and pack tightly into the green peppers.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add (2), and cook for about 3 minutes. Turn the pan over, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Once cooked through, remove from the heat.
4. Wipe the oil out of the frying pan, add (B), and simmer over medium-low heat for about 2 minutes. Spread the resulting ketchup sauce over the stuffed peppers.
Change up the flavor every now and then! Teriyaki Sauce
Put 2 tablespoons each of soy sauce and sake, 2-3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of mirin in a drained frying pan and simmer over low or medium-low heat. Start with 2 tablespoons of sugar, and add more if the sauce is too bland.
