Apple custard spring rolls

 


Ingredients:


4 spring roll wrappers


1/2 apple


[A] 70ml milk


[A] 1 egg yolk


[A] 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar


[A] 1 tablespoon cake flour


[B] 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar


[B] 1 teaspoon lemon juice


1/2 teaspoon potato starch


4 tablespoons salad oil


Directions:


1. Place [A] in a heat-resistant bowl, mix, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Remove, mix, and microwave for another 1 minute. Remove, mix well, let cool, and then refrigerate.


2. Peel the apples, cut them into 1cm cubes, and place them in a heat-resistant bowl. Add [B] and mix. Microwave uncovered at 600W for 3 minutes. Remove, add potato starch, mix, and microwave again for another 3 minutes.


3. Place 1/4 of each of [A] and [B] into the spring roll wrapper, fold in the left and right sides, and roll toward the back. Brush the end of the wrapper with water (not included in the recipe, to taste) to secure. Repeat to make 3 more.


4. Add salad oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Arrange [C]. Fry until golden brown all over and you're done!
