Hasaad

 

There is something more terrible than the evil eye, it is hasaad! This is the highest level of evil eye.

I first learned about hasaad a few months ago. At that time, I was hospitalized, with a lot of time on my hands. I came across this while reading some spiritual writings. It is an Arabic word. hasad is not just normal jealousy or magic. It is an attitude. It is the desire to destroy someone.

It is often said that if you know something good about a person, you will get jealous, and hasaad is the desire that things should not go well for you, that whatever is good should also be destroyed.

What do people think most about normal jealousy?

If only I had it like that. And the person who has it feels that your blessing will be wasted anyway. And this constant negative energy will have an effect on people's lives.

How do you recognize such a person?

- They will praise you a lot unnecessarily. You will definitely understand the two things: appreciation and forced praise. This is how people subconsciously hide their jealousy

- Will try to nullify your achievements. They will think - what have you done?

- Will do backbiting. They will not say anything bad about you behind your back

- Will find fault with any of your decisions. They will want to prove that you are wrong in some way or the other

Will try to discourage you in any work. They will be afraid that you will not succeed!

- Will say something unpleasant about your good deeds in a subtle way

The most frightening thing is - these people are always around us. This - their desire to ruin it, their desire to not be good, this negative energy is wasted to ruin all your good deeds.

And we all know at least a little who these people can be in our lives!

This hatred is so terrible that it has been made forbidden. And there is a verse in Surah Falaq asking Allah for refuge from this. Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad!!
