Mini Onigiri Dog

 


Ingredients

Warm rice...1 cup

Salt...a little

Roasted nori seaweed (nori-sized)...2 sheets

Favorite ingredients and seasonings...to taste

The ingredients used here are grilled sausage, pork stir-fried in yakiniku sauce, corn dressed with mayonnaise, salmon flakes, frilly lettuce, and shiso leaves.

*During hot weather, it's best to avoid perishable ingredients such as raw vegetables.

Directions

1. Place the rice in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, and mix.

2. Divide the rice into four equal parts and wrap in plastic wrap to form a cylindrical shape.

3. While the rice is still warm, wrap it in half of the roasted seaweed. Fold the edges over and wrap the rice in plastic wrap.

4. Leave it for a while to allow the seaweed to blend with the rice.

5. Once the seaweed has softened, make a slit in the center with a knife. Slicing the nori back and forth like a saw can easily cause the shape to collapse, so it's important to use a sharp knife and cut gently in one go. Lightly wetting the knife will prevent the rice from sticking.

6. Place your desired ingredients between the slits and you're done. The visible ingredients add a colorful touch! It's also recommended to serve it as a self-serve style, where each person can add their own ingredients.
