Macbeth and the ghost of Sheikh Mujib

On a stormy afternoon, a mountain in Scotland. The sky was covered with thunder, the ground was covered with mud and water. Three witches stood by a path on that mountain. They said to each other,

“When the war is over, I will meet you—with Macbeth.”

That day, Macbeth, the brave commander of Scotland, and his friend Banquo, were fighting bravely on a distant battlefield. In that battle, they defeated their enemy Norway. Upon hearing the news, King Duncan of Scotland was overjoyed. As a reward, he declared Macbeth “Thane of Cawdor,” which was the right to become the landowner of Cawdor.

Macbeth and his friend Banquo were on their way back from the battle, when three witches suddenly appeared in front of them in the mist.

One said, “O Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor!”

The other said, “O Macbeth, Thane of Glamis!”

The third one predicted, “O Macbeth, one day you will be king of Scotland!”

Commander Macbeth was shocked to hear this.

The witches told Banquo, “You will not be king yourself, but your descendants will be kings.”

The witches disappeared into thin air, but their words burned Macbeth’s mind as if they were on fire.

After a short time, a messenger from King Duncan came running and told Macbeth, “The king has made you the Thane of Cador.”

Macbeth was surprised and thought, so the witches really know the future!

The seed of blind ambition was sown in his mind—if they were right once, wouldn’t all the other prophecies also come true?

Returning home, he told everything to Lady Macbeth.

Lady Macbeth smiled and said, “Fortune is knocking at your door, and will you sit still?”

A few days later, King Duncan comes to Macbeth's palace as a guest.

Macbeth is initially skeptical of the witches' prophecy. But when King Duncan comes to him and gives him the title of Thane of Glamis, the second prophecy proves true. Macbeth is then excited about the witches' third prophecy that he will become king of Scotland.

Lady Macbeth, who is very ambitious and ruthless, provokes Macbeth to become king. She says, "Do what you must, I am by your side."

Night falls on Macbeth's palace in the kingdom of Scotland - the starlight in the sky is dim.

Lady Macbeth says, "Let this night be the first night of your kingdom."

Lady Macbeth secretly makes the king's guards and servants drink wine and put them to sleep.

Macbeth is in doubt - to kill the king means to kill not only the king, but also his own conscience.

However, at Lady Macbeth's urging, he took the knife in his hand. He silently entered the dark room and stabbed King Duncan in the chest.

After the murder, he returned with his hands trembling with blood.

Macbeth asked, "Will this blood ever be washed from my hands?"

Lady Macbeth said coldly, "A little water is enough."

In the morning, the news of the assassination spread. Duncan's two sons, Malcolm and Donalbain, fled in fear. Everyone thought that they had killed the king.

And at that opportunity, Macbeth became the king of Scotland.

But even after the crown, King Macbeth did not find peace. The witches' prophecy kept repeating in his mind - his friend "Banco's children will be kings."

One day, Macbeth secretly sent a hired assassin to kill Banquo.

But one of Banquo's sons escaped.

One night, there was a great feast in the royal court. King Macbeth was welcoming the guests when suddenly his eyes fell on the throne.

His friend Banquo was sitting on the throne with a bloody face! Is this Banquo's ghost!

No one else can see anything, but Macbeth screams in terror - "Ghost! Ghost! Why are you here?"

The guests are stunned.

Lady Macbeth breaks up the meeting, explaining that everyone is mistaken, but it is clear -

The king no longer has control over his mind.

Macbeth then finds the witches again.

They make three more prophecies in mysterious voices:

1. "Beware of Macduff."

2. "No one born of a woman can kill you."

3. "You are safe until the tree of Burnham Wood comes up on Dunsinane Hill."

Macbeth laughs happily after hearing the witches' prediction - "Forests never come up on mountains, and all men are born of women!"

Macduff was the landowner of Fife and Macbeth's main enemy. He acts as a symbol of justice and revenge. Macbeth, as a precaution, orders Macduff and his family to be brutally killed after hearing the witches' prophecy.

Macduff escapes, but his wife and children are killed. Macduff flees to England to fight against Macbeth's tyrannical rule. After the murder of his wife and children, he becomes even more determined to seek revenge.

But the truth is never hidden forever. Malcolm and Macduff, who have taken refuge in England, reunite. They form an army and advance towards Macbeth's castle.

The soldiers cut down the trees in the forest and hide themselves. From a distance, it seems as if Burnham Wood is really moving towards Dunsinane Hill. The witches' prophecy has come to life.

Meanwhile, Lady Macbeth seems to have gone mad. She walks in her sleep at night, washing her hands -

“Out, damned spot! Why won't this blood stain go away?”

Burned by guilt, she finally commits suicide as Lady Macbeth.

Macbeth defeats one soldier after another on the battlefield, and Macduff finally appears.

Macbeth roars,

"No woman's womb can kill me!"

Macduff says coldly,

"I was not born of a woman's womb, I came to this world through surgery."

Macbeth's face instantly turns white. He realizes that fate has deceived him. In the final battle, Macduff cuts off his head.

With Macbeth's death, Scotland is liberated.

Malcolm becomes king.

But the smell of blood still lingers on the walls of the palace—

A king who destroyed himself with his ambition.

The story of "Macbeth" is actually the story of a war within a man's soul—

Where fate and desire, morality and greed, love and fear destroy each other. His goal was to become a king, but in becoming a king, he lost the ability to be a human being.

Macbeth in Shakespeare's Macbeth was a general. The mullah military generals in Pakistan and Bangladesh are still killing millions of people, almost 500 years after Shakespeare, to prove Shakespeare's witches wrong. Now they are seeing the ghost of Sheikh Mujib. They have also lost the ability to be human.
