Many have seen the movie “Animal” directed by Arjun Reddy, but the question is, did any of you understand this movie? Animal is completely based on evolutionary biology, selfish gene theory and psychology. It was a typical “Darwinian tension loop”.
In this movie, we see Ranveer’s character seeking the approval of his father (dominant alpha). In primate evolution, this is called “dominance approval”. Almost all species of animals in the world have an alpha recognition mechanism, where the child’s brain seeks the approval of a person whom it considers a symbol of strength and power.
In prehistoric times, an alpha male would fight to replace another alpha male. For example, a new lion would kill or expel the old alpha, this is called a genetic reset mechanism or territorial displacement drive. Ranbir was not originally addicted to his father, he wanted to remove his father subconsciously but we see a civilized version of this prehistoric drive (civilized lion takeover) in this movie. In Freudian psychology, what is called manifest content. Imagine, you dreamt, you are greeting your step mom by touching her feet. Freud would tell you, you are subconsciously suffering from foot fetish, you basically want to play a submissive role with her.
We see in this movie, Ranbir tells his girlfriend, your big pelvis (hip bone), you will be able to give birth to more children. This is Ranbir's alpha characteristic. Sexual selection says, “Alpha male notices heroine’s figure”.
Here too, a common tendency of animal characters in biology is seen. Men are strongly attracted to women’s omega hips. A large pelvis indicates that the woman has a high ability to give birth to children, because the pelvic canal is wide.
Women who have a well-developed backside have a lot of omega-3 fatty acids in their bodies, which are important for the development of the pre-frontal cortex, hippocampus, visual cortex, corpus callosum, amygdala and limbic system of the child's brain.
Ranveer cannot share his girlfriend with anyone else, which is called the matte gardening strategy, but he himself wants to have sex with another woman by displaying his power, charisma and aggression. We have seen in this story, Ranveer's deep romantic connection with Rashmika, but once after going out on a social gathering or a crime-related mission, Ranveer meets an attractive woman who spikes his dopamine and testosterone. On one hand, there is a long-term oxytocin loop playing in his brain and on the other hand, there is a short-term dopamine and testosterone spike. Ranveer becomes mentally distracted after a while, develops a sexual relationship with her but consciously wants to maintain a romantic relationship with his own girlfriend. In biology, this is called the dual mating strategy.
The alpha male wants a romantic relationship, and he also gets involved in short-term relationships at the same time. Through short-term relationships, she spreads her alpha gene to other women, increasing genetic variation and boosting the species' immune system and survival chances.
Meanwhile, Rashmika's oxytocin and vasopressin loop works towards Ranbir, intense connection, attachment and jealousy. After this incident, Rashmika threatens Ranbir, what if I have sex with someone else? (i.e. another alpha male?)
She explains that cryptic polygamy is written in my genes too. But this threat increases the emotional spike in Ranbir, his testosterone boosts. Ranbir says, if you have sex with someone else, I will shoot you dead. Here, Rashmika has basically tested the "Darwinian tension loop" of Ranbir's brain. Rashmika knows subconsciously that Ranbir is an alpha male, he will be polygamous. But he wanted to see which one Ranbir prioritizes most between dual mating strategy and primary relationship. Natural selection says, Female brain programmed to optimize emotional & genetic benefits separately.
That's why you will see, since prehistoric times, alpha males have had relationships with multiple women and women have accepted it. Even now, 90% of women on dating apps like only 1% of men. This proves that women are ready to be third-class partners of polygamous alpha males but are not willing to accept a faithful and monogamous man because he does not have alpha traits. A woman is crazy about the polygamous penis of an alpha male because all the men who are loved by everyone are the first choice for women. This is called the mate coping strategy. If a man accepts multiple women, he becomes an alpha and if a woman accepts multiple men, she becomes a whore because multiple men give women dopamine, they do not give more children. God says, I forgive all sins but I do not forgive the sins of Sherek. Translated into biology, this means, you cannot worship any penis except my penis. Why is every God in the world seen in a dominant alpha character?
In this story, we see a fight between Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The son of an industrialist, Balbir Singh, who returns to the country after spending a long time abroad. On returning home, he comes to know that his father has been the victim of an assassination attempt, and he wants to take revenge against the people behind that assassination attempt. Here we see Ranbir starting to communicate with his old relatives and family acquaintances. This is a strategic position. This is where we see the presence of responsibility in the hero.
Their brain has an extraordinary ability to create new neurons and neuroplasticity. A man feels extreme obsession with a woman who has omega fats in her pelvis, and when he has sex with her, an intense vasopressin and dopamine loop is created in the man's brain. And from here paternity paranoia is born. The man does not trust the woman's uterus, he thinks that his lover's uterus is someone else's child, because numerous men roam around behind the woman with a big pelvis, which makes paternity uncertain. This is where a sense of ownership, love, and jealousy are created.
He is taking social alliances and kin support, to protect his family. This is called kin selection theory, where people with similar genetic features group together to compete with competing genetic groups. Ranveer, through his aggression and polygamous behavior, puts Rashmika under mental threat and trauma, to test her stability and loyalty in a dangerous environment. Ranveer wants to see that his lover is loyal and trustworthy to him even in the most dangerous environment.
The presence of the competing alpha male Abrar creates a genetic threat on Ranveer. His lover subconsciously wants to see Ranveer's bravery and genetic fitness. Since prehistoric times, men have competed with men to gain access to a woman's uterus, this is called sperm competition theory.
And the judge of this competition was a woman. The woman would test the stress and pain tolerance of the two men during a fight, while also testing their emotional intelligence, talent and ethics. Fighting is not just about muscle power, but also about planning, timing and technical intelligence. The woman subconsciously judges his problem solving, risk management and strategic thinking. By watching the man’s fighting techniques, the woman can understand the man’s sex duration and performance. The viewer is subconsciously watching male competition → female mate assessment → hero’s genetic & emotional quality.
By defeating the competing alpha male, Ranveer proves his genetic, emotional and intellectual fitness, he proves his worth to his father. He proves to his lover that I can have sex with thousands of girls but I can also defeat the alpha male. I can sacrifice my life for my genetics, I am a perfect beast.
Ranbir didn't kill Abrar, he threatened Rashmika on a subconscious level, be careful! Don't ever mention any other alpha's name again. Abrar's body was a genetic trick of Ranbir to get ultimate access to Rashmika's vagina.
