Ingredients (Serves 3)
〇 Corn: 2 ears
〇 Rice bran oil: 1 tbsp
(A)
〇 Cane sugar: 1 1/2 tsp
〇 Soy sauce: 2 tbsp
〇 Hon-mirin: 1 tbsp
〇 Garlic paste (tube): 5 cm
〇 Doubanjiang/Spicy bean paste (tube): 3 cm (1/2 tsp)
〇 Butter: 8g (for finishing)

Instructions
〇 Mix the ingredients in (A) together.
① Wrap each ear of corn individually in plastic wrap
and place on a microwave-safe dish.
Microwave at 600W for 3 minutes on one side,
then flip over and heat for another 2 minutes.
② Remove the plastic wrap and cut the corn into thirds.
Stand each piece upright on its cut end and cut into quarters.
③ Add the rice bran oil to a frying pan and place over medium heat.
Place the corn with the kernels facing down
and cook for 2 minutes until nicely browned and fragrant.
④ Add the (A) mixture and the butter, then turn off the heat
and toss to coat the corn evenly.
