South Korean scientists have found a way to grow hair under the influence of light. They are certain that hair will grow if you shine light on it. Why wouldn't it? When a way to destroy cancer cells has been found with light, hair is a no-brainer! Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology claim that 'infrared LED light therapy' will permanently solve both these problems: hair loss and graying hair. A research paper on this subject has also been published in the journal 'Nature Communications'.
There is no more powerful tool than light to create stimulation in cells by rushing to the precise target. Therefore, Korean researchers are going to solve the problem of hair loss with light rays of a specific wavelength. By shining light on the roots of the hair, the cells there will be stimulated. The decayed pigments will come alive. The pulse of life will appear in the dying cells. Scientists have claimed this after testing on human hair in the laboratory. Success has been achieved in 92 percent of cases.
Researchers have observed that by shining a beam of light with a wavelength of 730 to 740 nanometers on the hair roots, the dermal papilla cells are stimulated by the heat and intensity of this light. Dead cells are also rejuvenated. Not only that, this light also refreshes the pigment cells in the hair roots. Researchers call this technology 'photobiomodulation' therapy. It does many things at once. The light dilates the blood vessels of the scalp, which increases the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the hair roots. This special LED technology not only prevents hair loss, but can also play a special role in restoring hair color. Scientists claim that LED therapy will be much more effective and safer than hair growth drugs or laser therapy. However, there is no information yet about when the device will be available in the market.
