Ingredients (serves 2-3):
2 cups rice
500ml water
6 tablespoons yakiniku sauce
200g minced beef
190g canned whole corn (drained)
20g green onions (finely chopped)
10g butter
10g garlic chips
Black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Add the washed rice, water, and yakiniku sauce to a frying pan and mix well. Add the minced beef and canned whole corn.
2. Cover and heat over high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let steam for 15 minutes. Remove the lid and return to high heat and heat for 1 minute.
Tip |
The final high heat step is important for evaporating excess moisture and achieving a crispy, fragrant finish. When you hear a dry crackling sound from the bottom of the frying pan, it's a sign that the delicious crust is done.
③ Add the green onions, butter, and garlic chips, sprinkle with black pepper, and it's done!
