Apple custard pie made with sliced ​​bread

 


Ingredients:



4 slices of bread (8 slices per loaf)


1/2 apple


70ml milk


1 egg yolk


1 1/2 tablespoons sugar


1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour


1 1/2 tablespoons sugar


1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice


1/2 teaspoon potato starch


10g butter


Instructions:



① Combine ingredients [A] in a heatproof bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for 1 minute. Remove, stir, and heat for another minute. Remove, stir well, let cool slightly, and refrigerate.


② Peel the apple and cut it into 1cm cubes. Place in a heatproof bowl. Add ingredients [B] and mix. Heat in a 600W microwave for 3 minutes without covering with plastic wrap. Remove, add the potato starch, stir, and heat for another 3 minutes.


③ Cut off the crusts of the bread slices and flatten them with a rolling pin. Place 1/4 of ① and ② on each slice, fold in half, and firmly seal the edges with a fork. Make 3 more in the same way.


④ Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat and place ③ in the pan. Cook until golden brown on both sides, and it's done!


You can use the leftover bread crusts to make rusks or other treats!
