Fluffy and creamy French toast made with just water and mayonnaise!?

Ingredients (for 1 serving):

[A] Water 150ml

[A] Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons

[A] Sugar 2 teaspoons

Sliced bread (6 slices) 1 slice

Butter 10g

Instructions:

① Mix [A] in a tray and soak both sides of the bread, cut into four pieces.

Point|

Because water is used, the bread absorbs the liquid quickly, absorbing it in about 1 minute per side. Even if the mayonnaise is lumpy, it will melt and blend in naturally when cooked, so it's okay if it's not completely mixed.

② Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat, add the bread from ①, and cook until both sides are golden brown.

Point|

The bread, having absorbed a lot of liquid, will be soft and easily crumble, so handle it gently with a spatula when transferring it to the pan or turning it over. The trick to maintaining a nice shape is to wait patiently without touching it unnecessarily until the surface hardens.

Enjoy with honey to your liking!
