Crispy and fluffy French fries

 


Ingredients

* Potatoes…300g

* Salt…a pinch

* Potato starch…1 tablespoon

* Rice oil…2 tablespoons


Instructions

1. Wash the potatoes with the skin on, wrap them in damp paper towels, and place them in a heat-resistant plastic bag or wrap them in plastic wrap. Place this on a heat-resistant plate and heat in a 600W microwave for 4 minutes. Remove, flip the potatoes over, and heat again in the microwave for 2 minutes (total of about 6 minutes). Check if they are cooked through by inserting a skewer, and let them steam for about 1 minute.

2. Peel the potatoes, cut them into bite-sized pieces, and sprinkle lightly with salt. Put the potatoes and potato starch in a plastic bag and shake to coat them evenly.

3. Heat the rice oil in a frying pan over medium heat and arrange the potatoes from step 2. Cook, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden brown and crispy.
