Steamed new onions in consommé

 


[Ingredients for 2 servings]


* 2 new onions


* 1/4 carrot


* 6 sausages


* Salt and pepper to taste


* A pinch of dried parsley


<Soup>


* 2 teaspoons granulated chicken soup stock


* 300ml water


* 1 tablespoon white wine


[Preparation]


* Cut the new onions in half lengthwise.


* Peel the carrot and cut it into bite-sized pieces.


* Make incisions in the sausages.


* Prepare the steamer so that steam is rising. (Hint) Wrapping a towel around the steamer lid will prevent condensation from getting into the containers.


[Instructions]


1. Divide the new onions, carrots, and sausages into heat-resistant containers, and pour in half of the <Soup> ingredients into each. (Hint) Please use a large, deep heat-resistant container.


2. Place in a steamer that is producing plenty of steam and steam for about 30 minutes, or until the new onions and carrots are tender. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with dried parsley.
