Asparagus and ham cheese spring rolls

 


Ingredients (for 2 servings):

8 asparagus spears

8 spring roll wrappers

8 slices of roast ham

Mayonnaise (to taste)

4 pieces of processed cheese

[A] 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

[A] 1 tablespoon water

5 tablespoons vegetable oil


Instructions:

① Cut off the ends of the asparagus spears and peel any tough parts with a vegetable peeler. Place on a heatproof dish, cover with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for 2 minutes. Cut into 3 equal pieces (24 pieces total).

② Place a slice of roast ham on a spring roll wrapper and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise. Place 3 pieces of asparagus and halved pieces of processed cheese on top. Fold in the front, sides, and back, then roll towards the back. Apply the mixed [A] to the end of the roll to seal. Make 7 more rolls in the same way.

③ Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and arrange the rolls from step ②. Fry until both sides are nicely browned, and it's done!
