Sweet and spicy chicken and chestnut stew

 


Ingredients (Serves 2)


200g Chicken Thighs (Cut into Chunks)


A Little Salt and Pepper


10 Chestnuts (Simmered in Sweet Sauce)


2 Ginger Pieces


1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil


Condiments


2 Tablespoons Sake


2 Tablespoons Mirin


2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce


Preparation


Sprinkle salt and pepper on the chicken thighs.


Thinly slice one piece of ginger with the skin on, and peel and julienne the remaining piece.


Directions


1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pot, add the thinly sliced ​​ginger and chicken thighs, and fry until golden brown.

2. Add the chestnuts and stir-fry. Add the seasoning ingredients, cover, and simmer over low heat for 8 minutes. 

3. Once the sauce has reduced, transfer to a serving dish and place the julienned ginger in the middle.
