Refreshing grilled chicken thighs and new onions marinated in sauce

 


Ingredients (for 2 servings):

1 chicken thigh (approx. 300g)

1 new onion

2 teaspoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon mirin


Instructions:

① Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces. Slice the new onion thinly along the grain.

② Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the chicken skin-side down. Once browned, flip it over, cover, and steam-fry over low-medium heat for 2-3 minutes until cooked through.

③ Add [A] to ② and bring to a gentle boil. Turn off the heat, add the new onion, and quickly mix everything together. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Finished!
